Pauvros
Guitariste, l’homme de l’acte et de l’amour. Inclassable,
bien entendu. Après avoir quitté les bals, il s’est
explosé en tant que guitariste du group Catalogue (avec Jacques
Berrocal et Gilbert Artman), puis a traversé le monde à l’affut
de rencontres avec, entre autres, Arto Lindsay, le guitariste
Noël
Akchoté, RED, Evan Parker, Aki Onda, les poètes Charles
Pennequin et Gozo Yoshimasu… Il
se montre également comme chanteur de blues dans le group de Jonathan
Kane des Swans, chanteur incantatoire avec Keiji Haino, jusqu'à la
chanson populaire avec la reprise de « Mon homme »… Avec
Makoto Kawabata, il révèlent à la fois son esprit
rock’nroll et la retenue du poète, muni d'une force d'expressions
très
diversifiées.
Makoto Kawabata
Guitariste, à l'instrument greffé à la peau. Furieux
meneur d’hommes au sein du groupe Acid Mothers Temple, compositeur
impétueux à la virtuosité entre musique
contemporaine, hard rock (ses premières influences étant
Stockhausen et Deep Purple) et la musique traditionnelle (son amour
des Troubadours),
il a joué avec David Allen de Gong, Damo Suzuki, André Minvielle...
Bien qu'ayant expérimenté plusieurs
instruments (synthé, instruments faits maison, violon, sitar...),
c'est sans doute à travers
sa guitare électrique qu'il transmet le plus fermement le son
qu'il appelle « cosmos » au fumet si entêtant.
Lorsqu'il joue avec JF Pauvros, ils tendent vers l'ivresse et délivrent
avec leurs seules guitares un style à la
couleur unique. |

Guitarist, man of action and of love. Unclassifiable, of course. After
leaving the danceclub, he exploded onto the scene as the guitarist for
the group Catalogue (with Jacques Berrocal and Gilbert Artman), before
traversing the world in search of encounters with the likes of Arto Lindsay,
Noël Akchoté, RED, Evan Parker, Aki Onda, poets Charles Pennequin
and Gozo Yoshimasu... He proves himself as well as a singer of the blues
with Jonathan Kane from The Swans, a singer of incantations with Keiji
Haino, going as far as pop music with his cover of "Mon Homme"...
With Makoto Kawabata he simultaneously reveals his rock'n'roll spirit
and his poetic restraint, equipped with an extremely diverse force of
expression.
Makoto Kawabata
Guitarist, with his instrument grafted onto his skin. Furious leader
of men at the heart of the group Acid Mothers Temple, impetuous virtuoso
composer somewhere between contemporary music, hard rock (his first
influences being Stockhausen and Deep Purple) and traditional music
(his love for the Troubadours), he has played with David Allen of
Gong, Damo Suzuki, André Minvielle... Although he has experimented
with several other instruments (synth, homemade instruments, violin,
sitar...), it is undoubtedly through his electric guitar that he
expresses most firmly the heady aroma of the sound he calls "absolute".
When he plays with JF Pauvros, they stretch themselves to the point
of intoxication and deliver with their guitars alone a style and
colour that is completely unique.
